welcome to my little corner

Hi, I'm Luna

A night owl with a violet lamp, too many open tabs and a real weakness for slow mornings. I keep my little moments here — quiet nights, study breaks, and the songs I play on repeat. Grab a drink and stay a while. ♡

A few things about me

I made this little corner of the internet to keep my favourite things in one place. Think of it as my online diary — half purple nights, half highlighter pens, and a lot of overthinking at three in the morning.

Violet-lit nights

My lamp turns the whole room purple after ten, and that's when I finally feel like myself. Headphones on, world off, phone face down.

Study girl energy

Four colours of highlighter, flashcards everywhere, and a mug of tea that always goes cold before I remember it exists.

Chronically online

Ranked matches I keep losing, group chats I never leave, and very strong opinions about pineapple on pizza. I stand by mine.

The hour when the whole building goes quiet

It's almost midnight, the violet light is on, and I'm the only one awake in this apartment. It might be my favourite hour of the entire day.

There's a moment around 11:40pm when the building finally settles. No footsteps upstairs, no doors, no notifications worth answering. Just my lamp painting everything purple and the fan doing its slow, lazy thing in the corner.

I never plan to stay up. I say I'll close the laptop at ten, and then I reread the same paragraph four times, and then I find a playlist I haven't heard since last winter, and suddenly it's late in that soft way that doesn't feel like a mistake. I put my hair up, I take a photo I probably won't post, I sit with my knees up on the chair like I'm still fifteen.

I think I like this hour because nobody needs anything from me in it. During the day I'm the quiet one, the one who apologises for taking up space. At midnight I'm just a girl in a purple room with cold tea, and that's plenty.

Eight hours of sleep and one very cold tea

I slept properly for the first time in a week and woke up genuinely confused about what to do with all that energy.

Eight hours. I don't think I've done that since the semester started. I woke up before my alarm, which never happens, and lay there for a while doing absolutely nothing, which happens even less.

I made tea, forgot about it, found it two hours later on the windowsill, and drank it cold anyway because that's apparently who I am now. I opened the blinds all the way for once. The light in this room is so different before noon — no purple, just plain honest daylight, and my plants looked so pleased about it that I felt a bit guilty.

Days like this always make me promise myself I'll become a morning person. I won't. But it's nice to visit.

I finally wore the top that sat in my closet all year

It hung there for eleven months with the tag still on, waiting for an occasion that was never going to come and get it.

I bought it last October, tried it on once, decided it was 'for something special', and then never had a something special. Eleven months. The tag was still on it.

So on Tuesday, for no reason at all, I wore it to do absolutely nothing. I went to the shop, I came back, I made pasta. And I felt good the entire time — which is annoying, because it means I wasted eleven months waiting for permission I was supposed to give myself.

New rule around here: the nice thing gets worn on the ordinary day. That's the whole rule. I'm very proud of it.
